The supervisor shall notify the respective Coroner/Medical Examiner’s Office that there is an overdose victim at the hospital. Ask the Coroner/Medical Examiner’s Office to contact the Emergency Communications Division at 847-289-2700 if the victim is deceased. The supervisor shall provide the Coroner/Medical Examiner’s Office with his/her contact information and provide the victim’s information. Provide notification to SIG. If notification is after their working hours, provide emailed notification to the Lieutenant assigned to SIG.
